The Supreme Court of Pakistan rulled on Wednesday 16th December, 2009 that the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was null and void, calling it as ,unconstitutional. A 287 pages long detailed version of the NRO verdict is issued on Tuesday 19th January, 2010

December 16, 2009: According to the judgment, the NRO is contrary to the equality guaranteed by the 1973 Constitution of Pakistan. In addition, the court has ordered the government that it should immediately reopen the Swiss cases concerning President Asif Ali Zardari

ISLAMABAD: While the nation is focusing on the devastations caused by the floods, setting up of a clean commission and clean up of fake degrees, the NAB has been smartly cleaning up high profile NRO cases, including those in which President Asif Ali Zrdari is an accused.
