Committee rejects Interior Ministry’s statement on Blackwater
ISLAMABAD: National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Interior has rejected the statement of Interior Ministry on the nonexistence of Blackwater in the country.
During Committee’s meeting under the chairmanship of Abdul Qadir Patel, Interior Ministry maintained that Blackwater has no existence in the country. While the committee members asked, “who are the foreigners roaming with latest weapons?”
The committee members directed the Interior Ministry to submit a final statement regarding the presence of Blackwater, after consulting with the intelligence agencies and US embassy. The NA Standing Committee advised the Interior Ministry to formulate law, if needed, for the registration of Bangladeshi nationals.
